    THE OPPORTUNITY

    The Visual Merchandising Designer is an important role within our Retail team. As the VMD you tell the Superette brand story across all retail stores and our eCommerce platform. You have a strong understanding of what it takes to create a beautiful brand experience for our customers while also leveraging your business acumen and the power of visual merchandising to support product sell-through. The VMD will work closely with the Product and Creative teams to ensure the Superette brand shows up powerfully and consistently across multiple channels. The VMD owns all elements of visual merchandising across the business and creatively demonstrates how visual merchandising is an extension of the Superette brand by bringing it to life.

    THE ROLE

    As Visual Merchandising Designer you will be directly responsible for:

    • Developing visual merchandising standards that can be upheld across all retail units
    • Consistently coaching the retail teams on the visual merchandising experience in store
    • Creating displays to support seasonal events and special occasions
    • Working closely with the Creative and Product teams to ensure the Superette brand story is clear and consistent across the business
    • Upholding brand guidelines throughout the retail stores, events, eCommerce and any place the Superette brand shows up for customers
    • Developing visual merchandising directives that lead to product sell-through
    • Working closely with store leadership teams to support visual merchandising training and sustainable ways of ensuring visual merchandising standards are maintained
    • Developing the visual merchandising plan for new store openings while maintaining timelines and brand guidelines
    • Influencing store layout and design elements to support existing and new store plan-o-grams in partnership with Creative & Product teams
    • Working closely with Marketing to support the design of event displays that are interactive and demonstrative of the brand
    • Supporting product allocation with proper assessment of inventory levels and a strong understanding of what merchandise supports sales and the customer experience
    • Identifying and communicating business needs and opportunities

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years as a leader in a Visual Merchandising position with a growing brand or retailer
    • Previous experience required in executing new store openings
    • Experience required in building out plan-o-grams, window displays, event displays and working within eCommerce
    • Retail management experience considered an asset
    • Previous experience within clothing and hard goods considered an asset

    Regular visits to all retail stores will be required.

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    The Buying & Product Coordinator is a vital support function within our Retail and Product team. As the Buying & Product Coordinator you will be directly supporting the Buying & Development team to ensure our product assortment is the absolute best and to help manage the day-to-day product operations. You have a strong understanding of what it takes to support the buying process. You will also help to manage communication and timelines with suppliers and vendors. You support bringing the Superette brand to life through our product curation and supporting to inform key business decisions to ensure product lifecycle success.

    THE ROLE

    As Buying & Product Coordinator you will be directly responsible for:

    • Assisting Buyers during buying appointments and day-to-day functions
    • Performing data entry, managing purchase orders and reviewing order confirmations
    • Supporting the Planning, Creative, Operations, Merchandising, and Customer Experience teams to drive business
    • Assisting with gathering data for the seasonal buying strategy to provide a framework of past performance and financial guidelines for future seasons
    • Assisting the buying team in the seasonal assortment planning process, providing guidance on store volume groups by category and key style attributes; manage Open-To-Buy
    • Driving the quantity determination process for initial buys as well as reorders
    • Participating in allocation and replenishment discussions with various departments, for new store set up, stock balancing consolidations & Return to Vendor requests.
    • Analyzing solo trend by commodity, color, category and price performance vs plan
    • Continually assessing the market to forecast, identify and react to trends
    • Coordinating the style file creation with production/design team
    • Working cross functionally to support sell-through and exit strategy of apparel and accessories across the chain
    • Continually finding ways to improve processes and tools

    As Buying & Product Coordinator you are:

    • Knowledgeable with respect to fashion trends and possess a strong sense of style
    • Able to demonstrate knowledge of the retail cannabis industry and the relationship between suppliers, retailers and consumers
    • Proficient and excellent with using Microsoft Excel
    • Able to showcase strong written and verbal communication skills

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    • Visiting all stores on a consistent basis to support Store Managers maximize their business results and ensure consistency across multiple units

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a multi-unit leader within a growing retail or hospitality business
    • Proven experience managing leaders and large teams within retail or the hospitality industry
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Retail Store Manager
    • Previous experience in leading new store openings required
    • Experience in change management considered an asset
    • Proven experience in sales driving and leveraging business intelligence to build strategy

     

    Travel: Regular visits to stores across Ontario with regular cadence to Toronto HQ
